要望があったので、ヴィジュアルベーシック・アプリケーション版を対象に加えることにしました。エクスプローラー・ワードなどのマイクロソフト製品を使っている場合には、無料で使えるベーシック言語ということになるでしょう。インストールオプションにもよりますが、エディターとヘルプのインストールのレベルによって、使える形態が異なりますので、確認してみるといいでしょう。マイクロソフト純正のベーシックです。アプリケーションの作成は難しく、その為にはパッケージ版のソフトが望ましいでしょう。ビジュアルベーシック関連については、マイクロソフト提供の情報を確認してみてください、うんざりする程のバリエーションと情報量が、かなり無料で手に入れることが出来ると思います。

Q-BASICについて
マイクロソフトリリースのBASIC、”c:\tools\oldmsdos\qbasic.*” というパスに潜んでいる。コマンドプロンプトを起動して、”US” モードにコマンドプロンプトを変え、パスを通した上で、”Q-BASIC”を起動すると、起動する。
かなり使える、BASICとなっており、MS-DOS上（VGA装備）で、出来ることは、全て出来る、仕様になっている。（I/Oダイレクトアクセス、ピーク・ポーク、バイナリルーチン呼び出しなどの機能が充実している為。）
ウインドウズのマニュアルには記載が無い為、使用には注意が必要かも知れない。(多分、大丈夫だろう。)
